A Short Summary
I spent a lot of time doing the mechanical side of Electrical Engineering and the electrical side of Mechanical Engineering.
Starting out as a drafter, I learned about the entire process of making things, from coming up with the idea, making prototypes, CAD modeling and simulation, working with vendors, setting up manufacturing lines, test equipment, and tooling to making the parts, inspecting them, fixing problems with manufacturing lines, final inspection, part storage, inventory control, the critical importance of documentation, audits, and, ultimately, making the customer happy.
